Hello hello!
Thought this would be a great time to share how it’s been going lately. it’s been about a month since I moved out of my home and ironically I find myself today down the street from my old place. I am housesitting two sweet dogs and a Sulcatta (African) Tortoise for about 10 days in my old neighborhood for a really cool couple.
In addition, weeks ago I was watching a sweetie Frenchie named Louie in the East Valley while the owners were away. Anyhow, as many of you know I’ve been doing Housesitting here and there for years and now I plan to be doing it more regularly. It’s like an adventure staying in someone’s home, seeing their lifestyle, where they live, how they decorate, etc. and I get to experience different caring for different animals and their personalities are all so different too. I’ve always loved animals, so yes, I’m really happy I’m doing this!
I’m starting to adjust to living with Grandma. I’m so glad I have this time with her to get to know her better, hear her stories, help her out here an there and reexperience living in my old neighborhood again. At first it was very emotional for me to get through the move, the adjustment, and the memories flooding back (good and bad) from living in the old neighborhood I grew up in. I can walk to the house I lived in from 2nd grade to 12th grade. The strong emotions eventually subsided and now I’m enjoying and appreciating the neighborhood in a way I didn’t when I was younger. I see it’s beauty and charm. And it’s healing to here too!
I also have had a lot of people ask if I’ve moved out of state to California but no, that’s just the name of Chad and I’s Duo. 😉
Here are my gigs for this week! Excited to be playing at the Wigwam this Friday night, followed by The Hideaway on Saturday afternoon! Come catch a show soon!
P.S. Mark your calendar for October 20th! It’s a Friday & the day before my birthday. I’ll be doing a Duo with Chad at the Other Bar to celebrate!! Hope you’ll come out to share the evening with us!!!
